Nelson Mandela

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, political leader, and philanthropist who served as South Africa’s first Black president from 1994 to 1999. Born in 1918, Mandela spent 27 years in prison for fighting apartheid before becoming a global symbol of peace, reconciliation, and human rights.
