Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked East African country known for rapid economic development, clean cities, and strong governance. Its capital city is Kigali. Rwanda gained global attention after the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, which killed more than 800,000 people in approximately 100 days. Since then, the country has rebuilt itself into one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies and a major center for tourism, technology, and regional diplomacy.
