Uganda is a landlocked East African country bordered by Kenya, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Famous for its equatorial climate, lush landscapes, and diverse wildlife, the nation encompasses a large portion of Lake Victoria and the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains. Following independence from Britain in 1962, the country experienced turbulent political shifts before establishing relative economic stability under President Yoweri Museveni’s long-standing government. Modern Uganda is a key member of the East African Community, with an economy anchored by agriculture, eco-tourism, and expanding infrastructure initiatives.
